I dunno about mundi but when I googled that name I came across Chamundi, a Hindu mother goddess. Could she have been demonised and demoted to poltergeist level by the new Muslim clerics just like Marianmman had been demonised into a virgin-craving sea monster? And curiously the dhivehi word dhevi (demon) sounds a lot like the hindi word deyvee (mother goddess). Is this a hint of the state-run religious propaganda machine against Bhuddism just like the one that's been carried out now, against, say, Christianity among other faiths? hmm we already have a Santi Marinyanbu. And if all this shit is true then Chamundi could have been changed to Haamundi just like Chandi could have been changed to Handi and Chola to Holhi. Dhivehi tongue doesnt like chaviyani apparently. So there we have it! My theory for Haamundi. (ok miko holhi vaahakaa huttalaavvee dhee)
I usually see one if I get a glimpse of myself right after I've woken up. Otherwise, no.
ReplyDeleteApparently it looks like a normal roosting chicken.
